Trigger Warning: This article discusses sexual violence, abuse of minors, and systemic exploitation.

Epstein. Epstein. Epstein.

If you’ve been on the internet recently, or honestly, at any point since last year, you’ve probably heard the name Jeffrey Epstein. You might not fully know who he is, but you’ve surely heard something.

Who is Jeffrey Epstein?

Jeffrey Edward Epstein was an American financier and child sex offender who was convicted in 2008 for procuring a child for prostitution, and arrested in 2019 for counts of sexual trafficking.

He started in the U.S. finance sector before eventually building his own firm, Financial Trust Company. Over time, he cultivated an elite social circle filled with powerful people: billionaires, politicians, and celebrities, including Bill Gates, the former Prince Andrew, Elon Musk, Emirati businessman Sultan Bin Sulayem, Donald Trump, and many others, a circle he leveraged alongside his immense wealth and access, to get away with so many crimes.

According to court records and reporting by the Department of Justice, Epstein enticed and recruited dozens of underage girls, teenagers, and young women who were subjected to rape and sexual violence by him and his associates. These assaults and abuse would happen at his private residences and most notably, his island, where he typically invited members of the elite to visit, party, and network.

Tracing The Timeline

The first breakthrough in the story happened in 2005, after a 14-year-old girl and her parents reported that Jeffrey Epstein molested her in Florida. That investigation eventually led to him being convicted in 2008 for procuring a child for prostitution and soliciting prostitution. Despite the very serious allegations, Epstein served just 13 months in custody, under a sentence where he was even allowed to go to work during the day, as a result of an unusually lenient plea deal.

After his sentence was up, Epstein continued to live freely, maintaining his wealth, properties, and social connections. But in July 2019, federal prosecutors arrested him again, this time on sex trafficking charges involving minors in Florida and New York.

The second time was supposed to be the charm. But it never came.

On August 10, 2019, Epstein was found dead by suicide in his jail cell.

What exactly are the Epstein Files?

If you heard Epstein files and imagined a document with all the information neatly compiled into sections, you’re wrong. Nor is it a book in which someone narrates all the disgusting details.

It’s not nearly as simple as that.

The Epstein files are millions of documents, images, call logs,  and videos obtained by the authorities detailing the criminal activities of Jeffrey Epstein and the world he moved in, including public figures, politicians, and celebrities. In November 2015, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill calling for the release of all Epstein-related records, and since then, batches of these documents have been released sporadically.

The most recent and most significant release, and the reason why this topic is now in discussion, occurred on January 30, 2026, when nearly three million additional files were made public.

Yeah, you heard that right.

THREE MILLION.

Not even the world’s best AI can give you an accurate summary of the entirety of it all, so we’re just going to take a look at what these documents contain and who was mentioned.

The Most Disturbing Revelations From The Epstein Files

The Human Incubator Diary Entries

A document encoded from a diary written by a teenage victim of Epstein’s, accuses him of using her as an alleged incubator. The diary reads that she was made to have the paedophile’s baby, and that the newborn was snatched from her after a few minutes. This part is incredibly heartbreaking to read, as you can feel the pain in her words. She says, “I am nothing but your property and incubator!… I will never trust another man EVER!”

According to the diary, Epstein’s convicted accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, was also placed as being in the room when she gave birth, and the girl wonders why Ghislaine did not protect her. There are also sections where she wonders why this is all happening, and she references the fact that Epstein chose her to create “perfect offspring” because her genes are “superior.”

The diary ends on a very chilling note, after mourning the tragic birth and kidnapping of her child, the last words from her are about how she wishes to help build a better world.

My heart breaks for this girl. I cannot even imagine what she went through.

Unpacking The Epstein Files: Here’s Everything You Need To Know | Unravelling HerCannibalism and The Cream Cheese + Baby Statements

The word ” cannibal” appears 52 times in the Epstein files, while “cannibalism” is mentioned six times, but another disturbing thing is the baby and cream cheese statements.

In a conversation between Epstein and a redacted person about where to get vegetable cream cheese, Epstein responded, “There are millions of babies, very little good vegetable cream cheese.”

The redacted person also responded with “ Lol, I don’t know if cream cheese and baby are on the same level.”

This statement, in the context of everything else on the list, and Epstein’s convictions for child trafficking, has been speculated  as referring to cannibalism regarding the babies. After all, in what other context would he think of babies and cream cheese together in the same sentence?

Also, in a complaint made to the New York Police Department by an unnamed victim, allegations of ritualistic sacrifice and cannibalism were made. These allegations come from an interview with the victim, where the victim is said to have been on a yacht trip with Epstein, where he had allegedly  been a victim  “of a type of ritualistic sacrifice”, and he witnessed babies being dismembered, with their intestines removed, and individuals eating the feces from these removed intestines.

“Too Many Hungry Hands In Nigeria”

Nigeria was also drawn into the files by Nigerian-born Fortune 500 CEO and investment professional Jide Zeitlin, who in 2018 had a conversation with Epstein and Sultan Bin Sulayem, an Emirati businessman and the founder of DP World, a supply chain giant. The conversation includes Jide being impressed by Epstein’s wide circle, with Sultan asking Jide to meet up with him so they can discuss his (Sultan’s) interest in Nigerian locations.

The more disturbing reference, however, is this cryptic message from George Reenstra to Epstein, saying that his guy is in Lagos, and they are meeting to discuss the next step in buying what is referred to as “ 472” though no one knows what it is, but that “it is never easy in Nigeria… too many hungry hands.”

This email is short, and very disturbing.

Given Epstein’s later conviction as a trafficker, one can only wonder about what this conversation implies. Especially keeping in mind Nigeria’s well-documented challenges with poverty, weak infrastructure, and high levels of crime, which makes her vulnerable and fertile ground for exploiters like Epstein. That said, there is no public evidence directly linking this email to the trafficking of Nigerian children.

“Whoops.”

The word ‘Whoops’ appears more than 400 times in the files, used a lot in response to news about deaths or assaults.

An email about the death of Mary Kennedy ( Robert Francis Kennedy Jr.’s wife) in her backyard? Whoops in response.

An email about the fact that the mentioned lady was raped at 18? Whoops.

What makes people think the phrase must have a sinister meaning is this interaction between Epstein and a redacted name. In the conversation, the redacted person permits Epstein to kill a man because he lied to them (The redacted person and Epstein), and all Epstein says in return is “Whoops.”

Notable philanthropist, businessman, and the founder of Microsoft,  Bill Gates was mentioned in multiple emails Epstein sent to himself in July 2013. These messages all accused Gates of several things, the most scandalous being that Gates had directed him to delete messages regarding him (Gates) having a sexually transmitted disease and a “request that I provide you antibiotics that you can [surreptitiously give] to Melinda.’ In another, Gates is alleged to have asked Epstein to participate “in things that have ranged from the morally inappropriate to the ethically unsound” and “repeatedly asked” to do things “that get near and potentially over the line into the illegal.” The writer also alleged they helped Gates “get drugs, to deal with consequences of sex with Russian girls,” facilitated the billionaire’s “illicit trysts, with married women” and was asked to provide Gates with Adderall. Since the documents were revealed, Gates’s ex wife Melinda French Gates  has responded, saying that the claims left her with “unbelievable sadness.”

Note, this is Bill Gates. Bill Gates, who is a notable philanthropist, who in 2000, created the largest private foundation in the world, The Gates Foundation that has since its creation, funded several worldwide initiatives to promote global health (polio, malaria), agricultural development, and education. It’s beyond heartbreaking to think that someone so universally loved for his philanthropic work aimed at making the world better can also be accused of associating with a man like Epstein, especially after his conviction in 2008.

It Wasn’t Just The Men

One of the most uncomfortable truths raised by the Epstein case is that it wasn’t just the men.

Women also stood by and cheered this monster on as he abused and assaulted minors. The most notable example is Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s long-time associate and accomplice, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for luring, grooming, and controlling young girls for him. Victims have come forward to describe her presence not as behind the scenes, but actively there: reassuring the girls she brought, teaching them how to pleasure Epstein, and being physically present during moments of extreme importance, like that of the girl with the diary, where Ghislaine was present during the birth and when the child was taken away.

The former Duchess of York and former wife of the former Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, has also had a long-standing relationship with him throughout his convictions. In the most recent file, emails from her praising him have surfaced, with her saying things like:

“You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness.” “Xx, I am at your service. Just marry me.”

Unpacking The Epstein Files: Here’s Everything You Need To Know | Unravelling HerHe wasn’t just supported by men; these women also stood by and watched him be a monster.

What does all this mean for our society?

This is by no means a comprehensive account of all the disgusting and depraved activities that are contained and referenced in the Epstein files, as well as his relationships. Several notable names have been indicted and shown to have supported Epstein and his actions after his convictions.

  • Elon Musk claimed to have refused Epstein’s invitation, even calling for their release and accusing Donald Trump of being on them in 2025, yet has been exposed in the most recent files to have been the one asking for invitations.
  • Unpacking The Epstein Files: Here’s Everything You Need To Know | Unravelling HerRichard Branson (CEO of the Virgin Group), whose spokesperson denied ever having full knowledge of Epstein’s actions yet offered Epstein tips on how to rehabilitate his public image through Bill Gates’ help in a 2013 email, citing the fact he (Epstein) slept with a 17 ½ year old woman and that “there’s nothing wrong with that.”
  • The Foreign Minister of Slovakia, who asks to be invited to the games, and for an ‘MI girl.”
  • Universally loved linguist Noah Chomsky lamented about “the horrible way” Epstein had been treated due to the “hysteria that has developed about abuse of women”.
  • Donald Trump is mentioned hundreds of times in the newly released files, including a list compiled by the FBI last year of allegations made against Trump by callers to its national Threat Operations Center tip line.
  • The former Prince Andrew, Mountbatten-Windsor, is shown in pictures kneeling on all fours over a female lying on the ground.

Unpacking The Epstein Files: Here’s Everything You Need To Know | Unravelling Her

The list goes on and on.

It’s honestly so revolting.

Where do we go from here?

I remember watching the Zoe Kravitz movie Blink twice in 2024, and thinking after, “ These things don’t happen in real life. There’s no way that can happen to me.” But reading the Epstein files and following the Diddy court trial made me realize: things like this do happen. Powerful men abuse, assault, and violate those less powerful than them, relying on wealth, status, connections, and systemic failures to escape justice.

Innocent young girls and women are taken, forced through life-changing ordeals, and left powerless.

Even conviction and jail time do nothing to truly change things. Epstein still had a life while he was being tried and after. He went back to his private islands, to his friends, to his luxuries. He was a convicted pedophile and was still sending emails to the rich and influential, still hosting private parties, and still associating with powerful people as if he had not been proven guilty of engaging in sexual relations with a minor.

The stigma did nothing. He went on with his life as normal.

And just like people said the ending of Blink Twice was unrealistic, with Frida flipping the table and controlling Slater the same way he did to her and her friends, the ending of this real-life situation feels equally unrealistic. Epstein got off easy by dying. Only Ghislaine ( a woman) got justice with her 20-year sentence while the rest of his close circle got off.

How are none of the other people mentioned being investigated?

How can this all go away?
